Resposibilities:
- Supports Marketing Manager in the implementation of integrated marketing communications and advertising programs that drive participation in energy efficiency programs. Project mix includes direct mail, radio, digital, print advertising, email, collateral, case studies, mobile, social, video, media research, and event participation
- Assists with the development, writing, and communication of marketing plans, budgets, creative briefs, project recommendations, and presentations
- Prepares a wide-range of program forms and collateral materials
- Manages cooperative marketing initiatives for participating contractors
- Coordinates the delivery of digital and mobile assets
- Executes email and direct mail campaigns
- Assists with campaign performance analysis and reporting
- Participates in client communications including the review/approval process
- Writes and edits compelling copy for marketing campaigns
- Builds and maintains valued relationships with internal and external clients, regional offices, call center staff, and vendors
- Communicates marketing tactics and timelines to call center staff and operations team
- Assists with other day-to-day marketing tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years' related experience required with increasing responsibility

- Agency experience, or client-facing role within an inhouse agency environment is key
- Must be a highly-organized multi-tasker that can juggle a variety of projects, priorities, and timelines
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills specific to direct response marketing campaigns
- Experience with email marketing software, strategies, and best practices
- Familiarity with the print production process
- Ability to manage digital marketing assets and campaigns
- Knowledge of direct mail processes and requirements
- Experience coordinating with graphic designers on the production of materials
- The ability to track, analyze and report on campaign performance
- Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence and polished presentation skills to interact with clients and all levels of the organization

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position are: support corporate goals in relation to communicating sustainability metrics, communicate product health and environmental attributes to downstream users, and maintain an environmentally sound production environment. This position interfaces with all levels in corporate and production operations as well as direct customers and end users of products. This position acts as a representative in dealing with environmental regulatory matters affecting the company.

This position inhabits a rapidly evolving field driven by internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility, subtlety and the ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks are critical attributes.

Sustainability Communications and Support

This position will be responsible for maintaining communications and reporting for a variety of chemical and construction product sustainability related programs. Functions include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and maintain third-party product testing and certifications.
• Coordinate listings of product testing and attributes on internal and external databases.
• Maintain internal and external documents related to product attributes.
• Author technical support documents related to product attributes.
• Maintain a working knowledge of related USGBC LEED and green building credit and benchmark criteria.
• Support activities related to municipal, state and federal Environmentally Preferred Procurement (EPP) programs.
• Respond to internal and downstream requests for information on product environmental attributes.
• Engage in discussions with upstream suppliers regarding raw material attributes and chemical contents.
• Assist in representation in sustainability and product attribute consensus standards committees.
• Assist in representation in relevant industry and NGO stakeholder committees.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Product Stewardship

• Assist in authoring and maintaining product Safety Data Sheets and relevant label information.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to corporate product stewardship programs such as CSPA’s Product Care and ACA’s Coatings Care.
• Facilitate extended producer responsibility programs such as ACA’s PaintCare.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with state level product and product packaging regulatory programs.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with state and municipal product registration systems.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Environmental Regulatory Compliance

• Analyze regulations and codes to determine impact on facility operations and formulate compliance strategies.
• Assure that facility environmental reporting and permitting requirements are fulfilled.
• Maintain contact with legal counsel, regulatory agencies and consultants as needed to maintain compliance.
• Report on pending regulatory obligations and activities.
• Assure compliance with document retention policies as needed to maintain compliance and minimize liability risks.
• Represent the company on the Local Emergency Planning Committee.
• This position is designated as a backup Emergency Response Coordinator as defined under RCRA and CERCLA regulations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Educational – Certification Requirements

Education: This position requires a B.S. or its equivalent from an accredited university in the environmental sciences, biological sciences, environmental engineering, or chemical engineering fields. Course of study must include fundamentals of physical, organic and environmental chemistry. General knowledge of environmental regulatory systems and environmental control technology is preferred. This position must receive continuing education regarding the current state of environmental regulations and hazardous materials management as needed to perform essential functions. This position is required to obtain and maintain a LEED Green Associate credential.

Experience: Two years of in a related field is preferred.

Specific skills include:

• Shall demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Shall demonstrate project management ability.
• Shall possess basic computer skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• None assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills.

BASIC FUNCTION: Assist the Director of Sustainability in comprehensive environmental strategies and programs for Xanterra Parks & Resorts’ Yellowstone National Park lodging, retail, food & beverage, transportation, and hospitality operations.

POSITION & PURPOSE:
Xanterra is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to assist the Director of Sustainability in advancing Yellowstone’s environmental programs. The Specialist will work with the Director as needed to further environmental sustainability in Yellowstone’s operational areas of: solid waste management; energy and water efficiency; pollution prevention and waste reduction; sustainable design and construction practices; hazardous materials management; environmental communication and education; environmental procurement strategies; fuel tank management; green retail; and stormwater management. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in property preparation for ISO 14001 audits (internal and third-party) and recertification for summer 2013. Includes document review, property inspections, employee training, and corrective and preventative action database management.
2. Work to improve property-wide waste diversion programs (recycling, compost, hazardous and universal waste) by ensuring employee compliance and reduction of contamination.
3. Improve and enhance employee and guest messaging to facilitate awareness of park-wide environmental programs.
4. Facilitate the continued implementation and improvements in the “For Future Generations: Yellowstone Gifts†green retail store and strategy (product sustainability scoring; querying new vendors and products; update in-store sustainability messaging and displays; improve customer interface).
5. Assist Director in recertification or implementation of sustainable certification programs (i.e. Green Seal; Green Restaurant Association; LEED; Clean Marina)
6. Coordinate Facilities and Maintenance staff in lighting inventory and prioritization plan to eliminate incandescent lamp use and increase motion sensor use within park operations.
7. Work with National Park Service Green Team in the implementation of the Climate Friendly Parks program and planning for 2013 fall sustainability conference.
8. Research, test, and implement proactive environmental technologies and procedures not only for Yellowstone operations but also to share with other applicable Xanterra operations.
9. Assist in park-wide programs to strengthen environmental presence throughout park properties.
10. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in environmental, hospitality, or technically-related field; advanced degree (or current enrollment in a program) and/or commensurate professional sustainability and environmental compliance experience is preferred.
2. Experience implementing an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System or similar program.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position must communicate effectively with all levels of employees to identify opportunities to minimize the environmental impacts of Xanterra’s operations.
4. A personality and style that inspires others, encourages employees to present their ideas, and motivates a highly diverse group of people to understand what is expected and how to participate in meeting those objectives.
5. Well-developed personal computer skills.
6. Proven ability to build productive relationships by positively interacting with coworkers and clients.
7. Ability to live in a remote, rural environment.
8. Passion for national parks and public lands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to sit for long periods of time – 60% of workday
2. Ability to work 40+ hours/week when necessary
3. Ability to work in a higher altitude environment – 100% of workday
4. Ability to climbs stairs to reach Reservations’ department – 5% of workday
5. Must be able to occasionally operate company motor vehicles including snowmobiles, sedans and vans carrying up to 15 passengers.

About:
Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 4.9 million customer accounts.

Position Overview:
This position will be in the Transmission Training division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Organization Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering electrical system training to employees in T&D. The successful candidate will also establish and maintain working partnerships with Transmission employees and supervisors to ensure accurate and appropriate work practices are consistent with Company and Organization Unit/Group guidelines and policies.

Essential job functions include:
•Designing and developing self-study materials, classroom training and associated coursework, lesson plans, student guides and manuals.
•Determining pass/fail criteria for training courses and recommending corrective/coaching paths.
•Delivering/facilitating training in a classroom environment as well as non-classroom environments (e.g. field training).
•Partnering with front line employees and management to identify training gaps (needs assessment and job/task analysis) and resolve all training issues; assisting in managing the training budget.
•Evaluating and maintaining all training materials; creating, monitoring and reporting associated training metrics to measure training goals and progress.
•Determining major project milestones and deliverables.
•Attending grid communication and safety meetings throughout the organization.
•Providing subject matter expertise on changes and improvements to work processes and procedures.
•Participating as a member of the Powerline Trades management team.
•Promoting and maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
•Must have experience working as a transmission or distribution lineman.
•Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
•Typically possesses eight years of experience in designing and developing technical training courses (i.e. Extra High Voltage Hot Sticks, Bare Handing, Underground Splicing, and Helicopter Long-Line Work).
•Demonstrated experience with the instructional design process.
•Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional workgroups.
•Demonstrated experience presenting/facilitating technical training courses as well as determining pass/fail criteria and corrective/coaching paths.
•Demonstrated field experience climbing poles and working with underground and overhead transmission line construction.
•Demonstrated experience with the work methods, tools, policies and procedures related to transmission electrical systems.
•Demonstrated experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.
•Demonstrated proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
•Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
•Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
•Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
•Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
