Position description:
Utilize proprietary software to perform energy efficiency analysis with thermal images of buildings. Analysts will be fully trained to detect building anomalies and rate the level of energy efficiency of each building analyzed. The position is available to both full-time and part-time analysts. Analysis work can be performed remotely (i.e. work “virtually†from your home office) or onsite at Sagewell’s offices in Woburn. Analysts working remotely will be required to attend scheduled meetings and training sessions at the Woburn offices.

Position requirements:
• Experience using web-based computer applications
• Ability to focus on detailed computer images for sustained periods of time
• Ability to learn characteristics of thermal imaging and attributes of thermal energy
• Knowledge of thermography and heat transfer a big plus
• Knowledge of energy efficiency concepts and/or building sciences a big plus
• Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision
• Communicate knowledge and best practices to other team members effectively

Qualifications:
• Interested in energy efficiency and clean technology
• Good eyesight (with or without corrective lenses)
• Preferably not colorblind (accommodations available for colorblind individuals, if necessary)

Compensation:
$13-17 per hour depending on experience, plus potential bonus based on performance

Sagewell, Inc/Woburn, MA

Operate data collection equipment in a vehicle (SUV) during the Evening/Night Shift. Technician will be accompanied by experienced driver. Data collection must be completed between 7:30 pm and 6:00 am. The position is available to both full-time and part-time technicians. The data collection vehicle will follow scheduled routes throughout Massachusetts. Shifts will usually begin and end in Woburn, MA. The position is a short-term position ending around April 30th, with high potential for permanent day shift position after April 30th.

Position requirements:
• Operate a computer (Windows 7 operating system)
• Ability to operate a vehicle navigation system
• Regularly review the quality of data collected, assess proper focus of images and make adjustments to the equipment, in order to achieve high quality results
• Ensure and maintain that data capture system remains fully operational and properly mounted
• Transfer data collected following each shift to the Route Manager
• Communicate best practices and lessons learned to other team members

Position requirements:
4-7 years of experience developing and delivering commercial, enterprise-class solutions using .net client applications
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience/skills:
– C#
– Object oriented development and design
– XML / Web services / SOAP (read, author, edit XML documents)
– MySQL (interact with MySQL through applications APIs)
– Software-based testing (including unit testing, automation, load testing, etc.)
– Strong verbal & written communication skills

Additional skills/knowledge that would be helpful:
– GPS / GIS / location based services /Google Maps API
– User interface design and development
– Security issues
– PHP / MVC framework / LAMP stack / Javascript
