Job Objective
The Director, Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Sector will be responsible for coordinating the sales efforts targeting the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Sector industry. This individual will identify the needs of the target industry and work with all facets of PE-International resources to develop and deliver sustainability solutions that meet the needs of the marketplace.

What we need you to do – Sales Lead, Sector Lead, Account Manager, Project Content Expert (in Consumer Goods/Retail)

The selected individual will perform the following functions:

• Initiate, generate, and close sales opportunities against company revenue quotas.
• Develop, maintain, and execute a business development plan for the target industry sector. This will involve working in conjunction with the PE-International team in North America and the PE International team located throughout the world to develop an industry specific plan and marketing campaign.
• Identify and understand client and sector product and services needs and evolve sales strategies and business planning to meet those needs.
• Develop and execute on sector specific marketing campaigns, developed in conjunction with PE-International’s Director of Marketing.
• Engage in senior level delivery of work and quality assurance of projects within the sector to ensure client needs are met and business value achieved (less than 20% of position)
• Provide Product Managers with prospect and customer feedback on PE-International products and services to support their ongoing growth and development to meet and exceed market requirements.
• Keep the PE-International Team up to date on relevant issues in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail industry and serve as an industry specific resource as needed.

What we require:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Strong sector expertise and senior level contact base within Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail and Natural Resources Industries
• 5+ years sales experience
• Extensive experience in sales to large corporate clients with knowledge of solution software sales and providing technical consulting services.
• Knowledge of Sustainability issues and how they influence and impact corporate business models.
• Working knowledge of the business practices, decision making drivers, and sustainability issues within the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail industries. The selected candidate must be able to understand and articulate how PE-International services will benefit clients within the target market.
• Successful achievement of sales quotas, consultative enterprise/solution or technical sales.
• Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple accounts and partners.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers.
• Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g. salesforce.com) preferred

Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify and execute on new PV project development opportunities in North American markets through, acquisitions, joint ventures and greenfield development.
• Develop and maintain market intelligence. Report on activities and acquire appropriate corporate approvals.

• Acquisitions

o Manage PVs, including tracking of projects in development, budgets, schedules, JV spending activities, support off-take arrangements, and provide guidance on capital costs and EPC needs.
• Greenfield Development
o Identify opportunities through research of resources (solar insolation), interconnection, land and environmental issues resulting in pipeline of investment opportunities.
o Develop individual projects through land acquisition/site control, environmental / permitting, interconnection and design engineering.
o Move projects from green field development to commercial, preconstruction stage. Create, manage, and monitor project development activities and strategies to ensure success.
o Arrange off-take (PPAs), coordinate project financing, and coordinate supply chain and EPC cost issues.
o Create and manage development budgets and schedules for project and portfolio
o Coordinate feasibility studies and project development activities with internal and external subject matter experts
o Review and process invoices, perform financial and corporate reporting
o Provide expertise on renewable technology.
• Market intelligence and deal flow
o Evaluate and monitor current and multi-year projections for North American markets.
o Evaluate current competitors in markets in N.A. markets, their business directions and emerging competitors. Present assessments to management.
o Develop, coordinate, maintain and communicate to corporate the various market assessments
o Continually monitor and evaluate emerging geographies (state or utility incentive programs) and emerging verticals (i.e., water, local government, retail, education)

Required knowledge:

Consulting firm specializing in all aspects of sustainability, including recycling, energy efficiency, and solid waste management, has an immediate opening for a Sustainability Consultant.

Primary duties will involve work on sustainability management systems, data and metrics tracking and analysis, work on LEED-EB and LEED-NC projects, and maintaining recycling programs at commercial properties.

General responsibilities include managing energy data in excel and generating reports, monitoring sustainability metrics and conducting analysis of numbers, writing reports, LEED research and submittal templates, scheduling and performing checks on recycling programs and waste management systems at commercial properties, and conducting waste surveys. Work involves assessing programs, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and taking immediate action when appropriate.

Previous sustainability work is a plus, and applicants should indicate any relevant experience or certifications in their cover letter. LEED AP and/or experience in EnergyStar is probably necessary.

Must be self-reliant, very organized and detail-oriented, productive, and have a strong interest in the environment. Must enjoy educating people and solving problems, must possess excellent communication skills, write clearly and concisely, and have good computer skills. Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task are imperative. Project management experience is a plus. While many days will be spent in office, there will be frequent client meetings and fieldwork. College degree (4-year) required.

Work hours are generally from 9:00AM – 5:30PM, although some evening hours are required a few days each month, including occasional night audits. Flexibility is required. Please note that our offices are located at 125th Street in Harlem.

Assistant Program Manager
BKi seeks a committed, responsible, and enthusiastic Assistant Program Manager to support the implementation of building energy upgrade programs in Southern California. The Assistant Program Manager will provide an advanced level of support to the Program Manager of BKi’s comprehensive building retrofit programs. As part of BKi’s new and growing Los Angeles office, the Assistant Program Manager will assist in informing the public about the benefits of energy efficient buildings including environmental soundness, comfort, and economy to operate. This position will report to the Program Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Program Manager will perform the following and other duties as assigned to support BKi’s comprehensive building retrofit programs:
* Execute communication and marketing plans to ensure stakeholder buy-in, inform program design, leverage all available marketing distribution channels, and spread the word about program offerings.
* Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote residential energy retrofit programs, working with marketing consultants and partners.
* Assist in the analysis of local market potential to inform program design and implementation strategies.
* Support the Program Manager in the development of effective management and coordination structures to ensure that all program elements are effectively implemented and program growth continues.
* Actively work with clients, stakeholders, partners, and the public to further program goals.
* Support the development of consumer feedback mechanisms to ensure ongoing program management and enhancement.
* Participate in the organization and delivery of residential and non-residential energy efficiency retrofit activities.
* Provide program support in the areas of program budgets, schedules, document control, reporting, and all aspects relating to successful implementation of regional building retrofit programs.
* Assist in the identification and coordination of relevant funding sources and existing programs with all participating local governments. Examples of funding sources include EECBG and CEC grants.
* Support the development of proposals and grant applications.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field, and/or relevant experience in a regulated industry (preferably energy efficiency)
* Experience in designing and adapting marketing campaigns to changing environments
* Proven success as a member of a highly effective project or program management team
* Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels in a professional, ethical, and nonpartisan manner
* Proficient organizational and strategic skills
* Experience working with stakeholders and clients from the public and private sectors, and with the general public, strongly preferred
* Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
* A friendly, outgoing nature and an eagerness to serve clients, partners, and the public interest
* Knowledge of energy efficient design, construction strategies, technologies, and materials, and the ability to articulate the environmental, health, and economic benefits of green building strongly preferred

Compensation and Benefits
BKi is seeking someone immediately to fill in during a maternity leave for a period of six months (with the possibility of permanent employment in the future). This is a full-time, temporary, contract position without benefits; the Assistant Program Manager will receive $32/hour.

Project Construction Manager

This position will be headquartered in San Francisco, CA with future potential projects across multiple States (west coast/southwest/Caribbean) and Canadian provinces with frequent and potential extended travel to project locations. Responsibilities include:

• Support EPC review and selection of potential EPC Contractors, Project Budgeting, Scheduling, and design criteria
• Support Business Development due diligence efforts for site selection, interconnection options, and constructability reviews
• Monitor site permits, construction permits, and interconnection permitting
• Assessing and maintaining project progress against baseline schedule
• Review project installations for compliance with QA standards
• Review and approve monthly contractor invoicing against an established schedule of values
• Ability to analyze and assess Project Cost reports
• Coordinating the logistics of Owner furnished materials
• Provide Project Reports as required – assessing progress, scheduling, project budgets and variances
• Coordinate and assist in the resolution of design issues / project problems
• Coordinate final service acceptance inspections and the transition to project O&M
• Provide guidance and support during all commissioning, start-up testing, and third party inspections
• Provide routine “lessons learned†reports
• Work with EPC team to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a cross cultural environment

Desired Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5-10 Years of related experience in solar energy or power generation.
• Professional License or EIT is a plus.
• Construction / field experience is a requirement. Candidate MUST be able to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, construction contracts, project schedules, budgets and building code and other construction related documents.
• Knowledge of common construction practices, particularly in low and medium voltage electrical systems.

• Must possess outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter, ability to effectively establish and accomplish objectives in a fast paced, fluid environment without the benefit of prior precedence
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD, Primavera; MS Project; MS Office required
• Proactively control scope, schedule, cost and quality of assigned projects from design through final delivery.
