Utility Solutions

Supervisor, Incentive Processing

The Supervisor, Energy Programs will be responsible for directing and/or managing all activities associated with the energy management support staff. Responsible for program management support for ecova’s Utility Solutions business unit for several projects or one major program resulting in total annual labor budget(s) of >$500K.

Role Description

• Establishes and Implements performance and service standards.
• Develops and Implements process and/or operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Ensures productivity meets or exceeds service and quality standards.
• Oversees all aspects of project(s); sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.

• Prepares marketing strategies and programs for a product or product line.

• Advises team on any relevant product concerns.
• Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue.

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 +years Supervisory experience working in a business processing environment.

Project Manager

In collaboration with utility leadership and key internal and external resources, stakeholders and business partners, this position will manage new utility program implementations as projects and lead cross-functional teams in support of the implementation. This position is responsible for overall project initiation, planning, and execution, controlling, and closing of projects in alignment with program strategies, commitments and goals.

Role Description

• Manage the definition of project objectives, success criteria, scope, resources and deliverables using a standard set of tools and processes supported by Ecova’s process management office to ensure consistency across programs. This includes pre-launch, launch and operational activities – from contract development to launch to monthly operational reportingDevelop project teams, which may include internal and external resources and business partners, coordinate and integrate project activities across operational and functional lines
• Plan, schedule and track project budgets, timelines and milestones.
• Define and manage risks, contingencies and mitigation strategies.
• Identify business stakeholders and effectively communicate project status and activities – both verbal and written.
• Complete project evaluations and results based on identified success criteria and/or project objectives. Validate completed projects meet stated requirements and that business users are satisfied with results.
• Utilize industry-established project management techniques to deliver initiatives on time and on budget.
• In addition to project management, this position writes contract scopes of work, coordinates budget and savings analysis efforts, participates directly in contract negotiation with clients.
• This role also creates process and training documentation needed for program launches, and mentors other Ecova personnel who may contribute to launch efforts
• Acts as consultant to proposal team on launch issues including launch timing, staffing and support services roles.
• Write contract scopes of work; this involves working closely with pricing analysts and Ecova’s corporate counsel to ensure that all components of the contract are consistent and aligned.

Employee Relations Specialist/HR Business Partner

The HR Generalist provides general HR employee relations and administrative support to internal client groups, managers, and employees under the direction of the Senior HR Business Partner. The HR Generalist contributes to creating and maintaining efficient work processes and systems in the HR department. This position will be the first point of contact to internal customers for HR matters and will participate and contribute to HR projects.

Role Description

• Administers various HR programs, plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedure. • Manage employee records, maintaining and developing the filing system of personnel records; establishing, organizing and maintenance of department records, ensuring complete accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
• Performs employee relations tasks which may involve problem resolution, enhancing communication, training and career development in multiple locations. Work closely with management and provide guidance in resolving and mediating employee relations matters. Investigate employee relations issues and provide sound guidance in resolving concerns.
• Administers the company discipline procedure. Guide and assist managers in the development and issuance of performance, behavior and attendance discipline, including warnings and the follow-up and monitoring of employee progress as well as maintain appropriate employee disciplinary records.
• Monitor and facilitate the annual goal planning and review process for employees; Train management on performance evaluation applications. Coach management in writing effective evaluations.
• During regular interactions with managers is responsible for ensuring job descriptions are updated and are an accurate reflection of incumbent positions and is provided to Comp & Benefits team for library maintenance.

Role Competencies

• A bachelor's degree and 3 to five 5 years of Human Resources HR generalist and/or employee relations experience. Preferred proficiency in and experience dealing with HR related laws and policies.
• PHR certification preferred.

Accounting Analyst – Client Funds

The finance team is an important part of our company infrastructure and as a member of this team, you will be critical to our success.

This position is responsible for maintaining client trust fund accounts with very large dollar and transaction volumes through daily and monthly account reconciliations and to report any reconciling items to the Accounting department in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for establishing and improving accounting policies and procedures to maintain proper accounting for trust fund activity. This position reports to the GL Accounting Supervisor.

Role Description

• Perform daily reconciliations of client funds received, client fund disbursements and future scheduled client disbursements and report discrepancies to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
• Prepare complex bank reconciliations for large dollar and transaction volume accounts on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile and maintain client trust fund general ledger accounts, and prepare and post adjusting journal entries as necessary.
• Participate in bank product change discussions with bank and accounting personnel and change reconciling processes to adapt accordingly.
• Calculate all trust account related fees monthly and report to finance for month end close.
• Request reimbursement of fees and other items from Finance to ensure trust accounts remain whole.
• Work closely with accounting team and bank personnel to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Continuously improve and create processes to accurately and efficiently complete reconciliations.
• Special projects as requested.

Role Competencies

• An associate’s degree in accounting or business, or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years related accounting experience in bank reconciliation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience in bank reconciliations for large dollar and transaction volume accounts on a monthly basis.
• Liaison with external accounting firms as required.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Independent worker with good decision making skills, which includes knowing when to seek expert assistance.
• Strong communication, analytical and organization skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Experience with establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
• Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.

Role Description

• Communicate regularly with supplier partners.
• Work on Reverse-Auction events, anywhere from providing assistance to developing strategies, as requested by clients.
• Maintain required client reporting tools for procurement team.
• Maintain or develop comprehensive toolsets for risk management and market assessment for procurement team.
• May be assigned a supervisory role with direct reports.

Role Competencies

• Two or Four-year college degree or equivalent. Engineering degree a plus.
• One to five years of relevant experience, particularly in the areas of energy procurement, utilities, finance, risk management, or quantitative analysis.
• Utility experience or knowledge of utility bill calculations preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate MS Excel and Word skill level required; advanced skill level a plus. Ability to create macros and programming within excel highly desired.
• Solid to advanced presentation development and delivery skills.
• Must be detail oriented, flexible, adaptable and self-motivated.
• Ability to handle deadlines and high stress situations on a periodic basis.
• Occasional travel to client locations may be required.

Responsible for managing field activities for the Xcel Energy Residential Pools Program from project start to contract completion.

Role Description

• Manage field activities for the Residential Pools Program
• Perform each aspect of the program, helping to track Program Partner activities; coordinating payments to partners and tracking progress of program to stated goals.
• Assist with training participating contractors/Program Partners and EM&V auditors
• Coordinate contractor Participation Agreements with Program Partners
• Provide customer and field support to Program Partners, including but not limited to, on-site visits, follow up with customers on project status, problem resolution of customer complaints
• Quality Assurance:
• o accompany each Program Partner on at least two pumps commissioning,
o conduct reviews of commissioning reports
o Identify potential improvements to reports and processes.
• Provide weekly reports on assigned tasking, status and next steps on all activities
• Participate in demonstrations of energy efficiency pool pumps and equipment.
• Participate in weekly meeting with the Xcel program staff and Ecova staff.
• Provide monthly reports/field logs on all activities to support overall Residential Pools Program reporting requirements. Include market intelligence analytics and lessons learned
• o Gather valuable feedback to help track and measure the Pilot success
o Assist Program Manager in providing information/attending meetings with stakeholders
o Represent Ecova and our clients to auditors, Program Partners and home owners
o Attend meetings with Advisory Groups as needed
• Performs related work as required by supervisor

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in an external facing customer service role.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Basic understanding of motors, pumps and pool hydraulics preferred.
• Knowledge of the retail swimming pool industry.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in efficiency program management
• Experience with and understanding of the residential pool industry
• Experience with electrical components and ability to decipher and take electrical readings
• Proficient with using computers to track and document Project status and submit reports
• Comfortable with a high amount of driving with access to a reliable vehicle, may be required to drive a leased company vehicle and must qualify with a good driving record
• Ability to work in a safe manner without posing a risk to self or other required.
• Perform duties during a normal business day but may be required to performing duties during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required.
• Traveling occurs frequently and will be required.
