Position Summary:
This position reports to and works under the direction of the Mid-West Regional Vice President for Conservation Services Group, Inc (CSG). The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to successfully manage CSG's implementation of all CSG Energy Programs managed out of the Peoria, IL office. This currently includes the following types of programs, Home Performance, HVAC, New Construction, Lighting, Multifamily, New Construction, Refrigerator and Freezer Recycling, Home Energy Reports, and Energy Efficient Products Rebates.

The Program Director will direct all program staff and the Peoria office develop and meet budgets, work with Business Development to procure new contracts and successfully implement all programs for our clients and partners.

- Meet or exceed the performance goals and other metrics of CSG contracts managed from the Peoria, IL office
- Plan and direct program activities and manage program growth.
- Develop strong client relationships and service strategies while providing excellent client service through consistent, on-time, and accurate completions of tasks
- Develop and implement modifications to the programs, processes, and operating guidelines to increase effectiveness and operational efficiencies
- Contribute to CSG Business Development Activities and the integration and development of new clients, utilities and residential programs in the Central and Southern Illinois areas
- In coordination with central and regional information technology resources, improve and enhance the information systems that help manage program processes, support accurate and timely reporting, and are compatible with client systems
- Develop budgets and production forecasts, and manage operations to stay within budgets and program parameters
- Develop and manage staff goals, training plans and performance results to ensure efficient and effective delivery of client services, compliance with established program guidelines, and completion of deliverables on time and within budget.
- Determine staffing requirements, develop staffing plans, and oversee hiring and assimilation of new employees.
- Foster collaboration and team building among program staff.
- Develop and produce monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports as required or requested by the client (s) and CSG management
- Represent CSG and/or the client(s) at stakeholder meetings and conferences
- Develop and manage relationships with trade allies and partners including contractors, trade associations, industry players, trade schools, and others
- Collaborate with CSG Central services and business units including Human Resources, Information Solutions, Operations Support, – Customer Contact Center, Marketing, and Finance
- Other tasks and projects as may be required

Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of the energy efficiency industry and demonstrated success with utility and/or state program – management and client service in the field of energy efficiency or related field preferred.
- Experience with meeting contractual program obligations on time and within budget
- Demonstrated experience operating complex projects with multiple levels of authority and influence
- The ability to convey information in group or public settings, e.g. meetings using effective presentations and the ability to listen effectively
- Ability to translate broad objectives into specific tasks
- Ability to use schedules or project management techniques to track project implementation
- Strong relationship management skills with experience in developing and improving client relations
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, reporting, and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, database, PowerPoint and experience with Energy Modeling Software a plus
- Budget, finance, forecasting, and reporting experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience, interpersonal, and communication skills, plus the ability to build effective teams, motivate staff and achieve results
- Technical, program, policy development and financial expertise
- Familiarity with residential new construction, HVAC, building codes, building science, and marketing energy efficiency programs
- Knowledge of technical standards (BPI, RESNET, NATE) a plus
- Familiarity with industry technical groups such as BPI, ACCA, NATE, RESNET, etc.
- Minimum of 10 years of managment/ multiple program experience.
- Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent.
- Energy efficiency industry a plus.

Strategy Director

Overview

The Strategy Director is focused on identifying and seizing opportunities for the organization to pursue its mission at a greater scale and depth. The position is fundamentally focused on fundraising and the external environment, expanding CSF's potential role in global conservation and raising the support needed to realize that potential.

Primary Reporting Relationship

The position reports to the President and is a member of the management team.

Responsibilities and Activities

• Work with President and senior staff on determining strategic priorities.

• Work with the President and programs staff on cultivation, approach, proposals and stewardship of foundation, government and development agency funding.

• Partner with President to network and communicate CSF's accomplishments and capabilities to stakeholders that provide strategic opportunities for new programs and funding. This activity includes representing CSF at high-level meetings, conferences and events.

• Supervise Communications Manager in designing and deploying effective digital and print communications materials.

• Ensure that fundraising goals are met.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• At least 10 years experience in relevant environmental work, with at least five in a leadership position.

• Demonstrated fundraising talent and track record.

• Excellent professional network.

• Comfortable interacting with donors and high-level professionals in conservation and development fields.

• Integrity that inspires the trust and support of colleagues within CSF.

This position will be based either in Washington, D.C. or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Program Director

Overview

The Program Director is in charge of making sure that the analyses conducted and mentored by CSF are relevant, of excellent quality and delivered to constituencies for maximum positive impact on conservation decision-making. This Director provides leadership to CSF's program staff.

Primary Reporting Relationship

The Program Director reports to the President and is part of the organization's management team.

Responsibilities and Activities

• Provide effective and inspiring leadership to program staff.

• Lead at least one analytical effort at any given time. Assure that all other analyses receive competent technical oversight and peer review/support.

• Implement recruitment, training, and retention strategies to ensure CSF is staffed by excellent professionals.

• Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic planning processes with the President and staff.

• Ensure that all program activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of CSF.

• Implement and lead quality improvement.

• Serve as a link between the President and the program staff.

• Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations.

• Partner with the President to represent CSF with external constituencies, including funders, community, governmental, and private organizations.

• Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the President and CFO for review and approval.

• Ensure the continued financial viability of CSF's programs through sound fiscal management.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• At least 10 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of five years of director-level leadership experience.

• Advanced degree in economics, public policy or comparable discipline.

• Extensive practical experience with the use of economics for conservation.

• Spanish-language proficiency

• Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams.

• Passionate about CSF's mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values of CSF to external and internal stakeholders.

• Ability to travel extensively to provide on-site leadership for multi-country operating units and programs.

Conservation Strategy Fund is based in Sebastopol, CA, in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, the right person for this job could potentially be located anywhere worldwide.

The Assistant Director will be responsible for the execution of consulting-based experiential learning programs as well as the development, management and expansion of social entrepreneurship programming. Finally, participation in regional social entrepreneurship and responsible business networks is required.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering Services, this position is one of several core technical resources that together serve FREC and Fidelity as consultants in the areas of building infrastructure engineering and operation, energy management, sustainability program implementation, compliance assurance, and the evaluation of new technologies.

This position participates with FREC Operations, Engineering Services, Project Delivery, Procurement, Finance and Research. This position focuses on conducting appropriate analyses to assist the decision making process of business unit clients, other FREC functional areas and senior management in the areas of environmental resource management, documenting sustainability practices, environmental risk compliance, and new technology evaluation. The incumbent performs audits and operational assessments of practices and facility management engineers to enhance their capabilities, reporting and compliance documentation. The geographic responsibility of this job is primarily North America but occasionally involves overseas projects, requiring travel. The members of this core services team serve as experts/specialists for field engineers to consult on an as-needed basis.

The incumbent must possess customer focus and collaboration skills, very good analytic and presentation skills, and the ability to interact positively and constructively with other FREC team members, with business unit clients and with senior levels of Fidelity’s management. In addition, the incumbent must be capable of working with minimal direction and possess the ability to understand and consider the broader context in which his/her project or effort is occurring. The incumbent must manage FREC expectations appropriately and manage multiple assignments. An incumbent must possess the ability to think strategically and holistically about Fidelity’s engineering, compliance and sustainability objectives and to execute on a tactical level.

Primary Responsibilities

· This position will be responsible for assembling operational data used for the annual carbon footprint analysis, and calculation of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO14064 on an annual basis. The end product will be a carbon footprint for the entire real estate portfolio and comparison to previous years’ result in report format suitable for senior management.

· The tracking, trending and reporting of energy and water consumption for Energy Star input, LEED submittal packages, and ISO14001 data audits.

· The tracking and reviewing of internal incident reports associated with environmental and engineering issues on a regional and national portfolio basis. Environmental issues will be evaluated for compliance to regulations and ISO14001 requirements.

· The tracking, trending and reporting of data center power utilization, power availability and internal incident /compliance reports associated with critical power and environmental issues on a regional and national portfolio basis. Assist in root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and internal audits used to ensure mission critical call centers and data centers are operated to prevent loss of business continuity.

· Provide support by assisting with documenting engineering audits at regional sites, data centers, and international sites. Audits would be conducted with an experienced engineer with the end result being a narrative report with corrective actions and verbal discussions with local engineering staff.

· Provide support in research and compliance initiatives for regional engineering projects and data centers. Research would be assembled into a white paper format for review by senior management. Research projects would be related to engineering infrastructure, environmental issues, and industry trends. Compliance issues would be related to federal, state and local regulations related to environmental controls, restrictions and record-keeping.

Education and Experience

· Clearly understands both theoretical and practical concepts of engineering, Bachelors of Science degree in environmental, engineering, computer science or other technical field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical discipline of engineering, environment and/or compliance with exposure to building engineering design, data centers, construction, commissioning, applications or building infrastructure operations.

· Energy/Environmental/Compliance Certifications: LEED AP, DCEP, CEM, ISO

· Experience in development and documentation of critical environment programs and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge

· Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with advanced capabilities in preparing senior management reports and presentations.

· Demonstrated record of interest and involvement with environmental sustainability and compliance issues.

• Act as a spokesperson for Clean Energy Coalition.
• Perform other duties as assigned and collaborate with other staff on work as needed.

JOB SUMMARY
Clean Energy Coalition, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, seeks a Program Director. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the management and oversight of program supervisors, project managers, project associates, part-time interns, and volunteers, as well as responsibility for the direct management of identified projects as needed.

This leader will assist team members in the development and implementation of building- and transportation-related clean energy projects and programs that serve a core statewide target market, as well as increasing opportunities outside of Michigan. These projects focus on reducing fossil fuel consumption by expanding the use of: alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, non-motorized transportation alternatives, renewable energy technologies, energy efficient building retrofits and new construction projects, behavioral changes, innovative financing programs, as well as other ground-breaking initiatives.

The Program Director works closely with other leaders and staff under the guidance of the Executive Director. In addition to daily management activities, as a member of the management team for the organization, the Program Director will participate in the development of performance expectations and metrics for both his or her team and the organization, provide input to policy and strategic decisions, and consistently demonstrate the professional behaviors and attitude expected of a leader at Clean Energy Coalition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) required in business administration, public administration, city and regional planning, economics, engineering, natural resource management, social work, or any related fields, or equivalent work experience in the above mentioned areas.
• Minimum of five years of project management experience.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience, however leadership potential will be considered in combination with experience provided there is a willingness to participate in management workshops or individual coaching.
• Demonstrated experience leading others and successful management of teams.
• Demonstrated ability to influence buyers and develop new revenue sources.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.
• Self-starter, enthusiastic, innovative, and capable of meeting challenges and pressing deadlines.
• Team player with troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven commitment to energy and environmental issues.
• Solid computer skills including proficiency in using basic Microsoft and/or similar software products such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, web, database applications, and capacity to work in Mac OS environment.
• Experience with environmental issues, alternative fuels, alternative vehicle technologies, energy efficiency, and/or renewable energy projects preferred.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Daily management of team members including:
o Direct supervision of program supervisors, project managers, project associates, part-time Interns, and volunteers. At a minimum, work is to include: weekly one-on-one goal setting and troubleshooting meetings, completion of annual performance reviews, quarterly review of annual goal accomplishment and progress with professional development plans, onboarding of new hires, and hiring and termination processes.
o Development and oversight of team goals and metrics.
o Anticipation, prevention, or resolution of problems and issues; communicating concerns as appropriate.
o Providing technical support and communicating trends and new technologies.
o Mentoring and guiding staff in their personal and professional development.
• Work with the organization’s business development staff to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Develop and implement new services and initiatives that drive revenue growth and mission accomplishment.
• Work with the leadership team to ensure project, team, and organizational performance metrics are achieved.
• Management of client relationships as needed.
