Roles and Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with existing, new, and potential U.S. and international clients about the certification process and requirements;
• Assist with preparation of proposals for certification evaluations;
• Manage a consistent work flow of scheduling, written notifications, and record-keeping;
• Maintain well-organized filing systems (both paper and electronic) and databases;
• Perform quality control activities to assure database accuracy and consistency;
• Communicate with international representatives and partners
• Participate in planning and implementation of programmatic initiatives especially in regards to record-keeping and compliance with SCS quality management systems and the rules of the FSC;
• Ensure documentation related to auditing (e.g., work orders, contracts, reports) is properly executed and maintained;
• Assist Program Managers with invoicing, budgeting and book-keeping
• Communicate with stakeholders regarding upcoming audits, complaints, and other issues
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field;
• Ability to work well independently or in team-oriented situations 5 days per week at our Emeryville office;
• High degree of computer skills and proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and basic database management;
• Complete fluency in English with high level of proficiency in written & verbal communications;
• Superlative organizational skills, ability to prioritize numerous tasks effectively;
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to proof your own work; Personal characteristics/abilities if required (e.g. Strong initiative and ability to work independently)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Preferred Skills

• Proficiency of a second language, especially Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, or Indonesian.
• Experience with ISO standards, supply chains and/or the certified products industry;
• Demonstrated commitment to SCS’s mission (environmental sustainability, natural resource conservation);
• Previous pricing/cost analysis experience;

Role Description

• Manage field activities for the Residential Pools Program
• Perform each aspect of the program, helping to track Program Partner activities; coordinating payments to partners and tracking progress of program to stated goals.
• Assist with training participating contractors/Program Partners and EM&V auditors
• Coordinate contractor Participation Agreements with Program Partners
• Provide customer and field support to Program Partners, including but not limited to, on-site visits, follow up with customers on project status, problem resolution of customer complaints
• Quality Assurance:
• o accompany each Program Partner on at least two pumps commissioning,
o conduct reviews of commissioning reports
o Identify potential improvements to reports and processes.
• Provide weekly reports on assigned tasking, status and next steps on all activities
• Participate in demonstrations of energy efficiency pool pumps and equipment.
• Participate in weekly meeting with the Xcel program staff and Ecova staff.
• Provide monthly reports/field logs on all activities to support overall Residential Pools Program reporting requirements. Include market intelligence analytics and lessons learned
• o Gather valuable feedback to help track and measure the Pilot success
o Assist Program Manager in providing information/attending meetings with stakeholders
o Represent Ecova and our clients to auditors, Program Partners and home owners
o Attend meetings with Advisory Groups as needed
• Performs related work as required by supervisor

Role Competencies

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in an external facing customer service role.

• Knowledge of the retail swimming pool industry.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in efficiency program management
• Experience with and understanding of the residential pool industry
• Experience with electrical components and ability to decipher and take electrical readings
• Proficient with using computers to track and document Project status and submit reports
• Comfortable with a high amount of driving with access to a reliable vehicle, may be required to drive a leased company vehicle and must qualify with a good driving record
• Ability to work in a safe manner without posing a risk to self or other required.
• Perform duties during a normal business day but may be required to performing duties during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required.
• Traveling occurs frequently and will be required.

Farms that meet the SAN’s rigorous environmental, social and economic standards are awarded the Rainforest Alliance Certifiedâ„¢ seal. The SAN standards are applied by producers of major commodity crops (including bananas, pineapple, coffee, cocoa, tea, citrus and flowers) that profoundly affect the economies, environments, cultures and politics of tropical countries. Position Summary
The Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Vice President and the senior management team of Sustainable Agriculture in all areas of operations, with an emphasis on communications and day-to-day management support.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate meeting and webinar preparation for the Vice President, including communications with relevant staff, logistics, agendas and materials preparation, as well as meeting follow-up and assistance in tracking implementation of follow-up;
• Assist by drafting letters, reports and other documents, collecting and analyzing information as needed, and facilitating and recording meetings;
• Conduct research projects and support specific initiatives such as research on key topics, support for staff training programs, follow up with contacts from meetings and tradeshows, etc.;
• Assist in developing external program presentations in PowerPoint and other formats, and maintaining an inventory of existing presentations;
• Translate data into effective and usable information illustrating impacts and results of Sustainable Agriculture activities and services, including graphs and other forms of visual presentation;
• Complete travel expense reports;
• Monitor and follow up with staff on time-card completion;
• Be the Units point person and promoter of Sharepoint use; train staff in Sharepoint; maintain calendars and libraries in Sharepoint;
• Coordinate the Unit’s annual planning and quarterly reporting process;
• Design, distribute and analyze surveys using appropriate survey software(s), such as Survey Monkey;
• Translate emails and documents between English and Spanish;
• Assist in managing activities, including supporting administrative and contractual issues with external consultants;
• Assist with outreach to key stakeholders;
• Collect and compile information for the Unit’s section of the Rainforest Alliance monthly update; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred;
• A minimum 4 years of administrative experience; non-profit experience a plus;
• Background in agriculture, natural resources or environment a plus;
• Ability to work within a team structure as well as independently, be creative, take initiative, be attentive to detail and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive manner;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Spanish;
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office and Internet) required; comfort working with database programs preferred;
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines; and
• Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 10% per year, nationally and internationally.

Responsible for providing field support to Efficiency programs.

Role Description

• Support Efficiency programs by processing orders, preparing reports and correspondence to internal and external customers.
• Represent Ecova and our clients to resellers, retailers and distributors.
• Ensure program products are up-to-date and accurate in assigned territory.
• Serve as the representative for Ecova and our clients at outreach events. Educate customers at events about the energy efficiency program(s).
• Distribute program materials and provide participating retailers with appropriate training on energy efficiency programs.
• Assists in meeting/event planning and organization for program events.
• Convey new and upcoming developments in the program to retailers and customers.
• Gather valuable feedback to help track and measure the Program’s success in transforming the marketplace.
• Serve as the communication link between Ecova, the client and the retailers.
• Communicate program goals and activities to the participating retailers, customers and your team.
• Interface with the public and handle customer issues, complaints and questions.
• Performs related work as required.

Role Competencies

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in efficiency program management.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
• Comfortable with a high amount of driving with access to a reliable vehicle.
• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience, preferably in an external facing customer service role.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred.
