Accounting Analyst – Client Funds

The finance team is an important part of our company infrastructure and as a member of this team, you will be critical to our success.

This position is responsible for maintaining client trust fund accounts with very large dollar and transaction volumes through daily and monthly account reconciliations and to report any reconciling items to the Accounting department in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for establishing and improving accounting policies and procedures to maintain proper accounting for trust fund activity. This position reports to the GL Accounting Supervisor.

Role Description

• Perform daily reconciliations of client funds received, client fund disbursements and future scheduled client disbursements and report discrepancies to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
• Prepare complex bank reconciliations for large dollar and transaction volume accounts on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile and maintain client trust fund general ledger accounts, and prepare and post adjusting journal entries as necessary.
• Participate in bank product change discussions with bank and accounting personnel and change reconciling processes to adapt accordingly.
• Calculate all trust account related fees monthly and report to finance for month end close.
• Request reimbursement of fees and other items from Finance to ensure trust accounts remain whole.
• Work closely with accounting team and bank personnel to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Continuously improve and create processes to accurately and efficiently complete reconciliations.
• Special projects as requested.

Role Competencies

• An associate’s degree in accounting or business, or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 4 years related accounting experience in bank reconciliation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience in bank reconciliations for large dollar and transaction volume accounts on a monthly basis.
• Liaison with external accounting firms as required.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
• Independent worker with good decision making skills, which includes knowing when to seek expert assistance.
• Strong communication, analytical and organization skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Experience with establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
• Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
• Possess the ability to self-motivate and take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and able to efficiently function under pressure.
• Ability to produce detailed, error-free work within limited timeframes.

Energy Procurement Analyst

**We are seeking to staff this position as a level I, level II, or Senior Analyst and are open to accepting candidates with varying degrees of experience.**

The Energy Procurement Analyst is a position providing comprehensive energy procurement services by supplying product recommendations, market analysis, pricing evaluation, and contract management to Energy Procurement Managers. They are versed on all deregulated energy markets, and provide these services for clients throughout North America.

Role Description

• Work to provide energy procurement consulting services to energy Procurement Manager Team; including, but not limited to: RFP development, market assessment, risk management, strategy development, contract negotiation, contract management, and product management.
• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of assigned regulatory markets.
• Communicate regularly with Energy Procurement Managers and clients via conference calls and e-mails.
• Communicate with utilities, local distribution companies, and public utility commissions to gather timely, accurate, and complete energy market intelligence.
• Communicate regularly with supplier partners.

Role Competencies

• Utility experience or knowledge of utility bill calculations preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate MS Excel and Word skill level required; advanced skill level a plus. Ability to create macros and programming within excel highly desired.
• Solid to advanced presentation development and delivery skills.
• Must be detail oriented, flexible, adaptable and self-motivated.
• Ability to handle deadlines and high stress situations on a periodic basis.

This position will act as primary Salesforce.com (SFDC) administrator responsible for deploying Ecova’s utility energy efficiency program delivery platform and establishing / developing requirements to extend that platform.

Role Description

• Deploy, maintain and support Ecova’s SFDC Energy Efficiency (EE) program delivery platform and AppExchange apps.
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to support Utility Solution’s launch and delivery of EE programs on the platform.

Reporting to the VP of CDM, this position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and advice in the development of PowerStream's CDM market research activities and marketing plan, for managing the execution of market research activities and for providing support to Program Managers in the execution of marketing plans. - University degree in related field , or equivalent knowledge and experience.

The Senior Analyst will provide high-level support and leadership for implementing and analyzing the effectiveness of projects and programs within the Safety & Environmental space. Essential job functions include:
•Lead organization unit efforts for Monthly Injury Reporting for Executive Management or other initiatives, such as representing T&D on a sub-team for company-wide initiatives.

•Preparation of safety & environmental documents and presentation materials for principal managers, executives and officers regarding safety metrics and programs.
•Maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices, and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:
•Must have experience with safety program design, implementation, training, and/or evaluation.

This position is responsible for performing key rate analysis tasks, including: understanding and maintaining knowledge of utility rate structures, developing and maintaining utility Monitoring & Optimization Rate (M&O) models, performing detailed rate calculations, and delivering maximum savings to Ecova clients. • Coordinate budget development by utilizing site, consumption, cost and forecast information for baseline development and final deliverable.
• Coordinate financial accrual, variance, and trending analysis reporting.
• Generate situation-specific reports and perform related investigative analysis.
• Demonstrate ability to engage and support direct client interaction in both informational and problem solving situations
• Provide recommendations and interpretive advice based on available report data.
• Coordinate projects and resources to accomplish projects with complex deliverables.
• Develop awareness and communicate product solutions that are available to support the client.
• Maintain understanding of related industry trends and requirements relating to client reporting
• Independently manage client projects based on direct interaction with the client.
• Potentially serve as team leader or working supervisor.
• Contribute to the continuous process improvement for the analyst services provided.

Role Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
• Other combinations of experience/education may be considered.
• Five or more years of experience as an energy or financial analyst performing related tasks and services.
• Demonstrated experience with Access databases and interaction with large data sets.
• Experience with standard and interactive report design including statistical analysis in a business or corporate environment.
• Advanced capabilities to create and manage complex Excel spreadsheet including functions, analytics and graphics.
