SRC is currently seeking a systems integration and test engineer that has experience with electronic warfare (EW), communications and/or radar systems.

SRC’s counter-IED system – the CREW Duke – was selected as a U.S. Army Top 10 Greatest Invention in 2009, and its predecessor – the Countermeasure Protection System – was a recipient of the same award in 2005. SRC is also currently developing multiple radar systems, including airborne and ground-based systems, for air and ground surveillance, and weapon system location applications. The successful candidate will work on EW or radar programs.

Responsibilities

- Perform and coordinate testing which includes system performance, environmental, EMI/RFI/EMC and system troubleshooting
- Support engineering dry runs, internal QA dry runs and formal customer testing in the factory and in the field
- Perform data analysis, trade studies, prepare test briefings and write test reports
- Operate EW, communication and radar systems in conjunction with system and user interface tests
- Be actively involved with the test and evaluation of systems at SRC and government installations
- Deliver high quality products using requirements development and management
- Generate test plans, procedures and reports
- Train and mentor hardware, software and system junior engineers on test and integration troubleshooting
- Participate in technical interchange meetings between the test team, other engineering disciplines, subcontractors and the customer

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics or related engineering degree (master’s degree desired) with four years or more of related test experience with complex electronic systems
- Experience with radar or EW concepts, systems integration, test plans and procedures
- Highly motivated and passionate about testing
- Strong analytical and teamwork skills are preferred
- Must be familiar with various pieces of test equipment
- Knowledge of configuration management, automatic testing tools, and process standards (such as CMMI, DO178B)
- Experience with Matlab and familiarity with Microsoft tools and Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000)
- Must have mechanical aptitude; be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision and oversight
- Must be an excellent technical writer capable of capturing complex ideas and concepts in technical reports, documents, and presentations
- At least 25 percent travel across the U.S. leading/supporting a variety of test activities
