Description
•Work with business owners to establish measurable performance thresholds and requirements for EnergyMeasure solutions
•Establish baseline performance metrics and reports that increase the visibility and understanding of the behavior of existing solutions
•Maintain high performance of production databases and systems
•Analyze and prioritize opportunities for performance and scalability improvements
•Investigate and troubleshoot unexpected database and application performance problems
•Work closely with chief architect, development, and network operations team to design, implement and leverage improvements
•Educate and mentor engineers about database and systems performance and bottlenecks
Requirements
•BA/BS or equivalent in computer science or a related engineering field; advanced degree preferred
•5+ years of software performance management experience
•5+ years of database design and tuning skills; knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle
•5+ years .NET application tuning experience
•Experience with ORM solutions such as NHibernate or EntityFramework highly desired
•Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize complex software systems
•Proven success driving web application and database performance improvement
•Knowledge of performance engineering methodology and tools
•Experience with appropriate product development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall, etc.)
•Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Compensation package includes paid holidays, 80% paid medical, 50% paid dental, paid life & AD&D and paid STD & LTD insurance coverage, plus employer matching retirement plan
