Senior Managing Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Start Date: Late Summer to Fall 2010 (flexible)
Job Purpose: Responsible for the management and overall design and fabrication of Magenn’s technology. The incumbent will play a lead role in the integration and direction of key contractors and suppliers, manage Magenn’s technical team, and will be accountable for overall engineering deliverables.
Educational Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical or Chemical Engineering. Professional engineering designation preferred.
Required Experience and Abilities: The successful candidate will likely have proven him/herself in all of the following:
1.Prototyping and commercializing new technologies;
2.Management and integration of work from multiple major contractors and suppliers;
3.Extensive experience managing engineering personnel;
4.Open, “can-do†attitude; capable of motivating and encouraging staff, leading collective “brainstorming,†and,
5.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
