The Sustainability Manager will report to the Senior Environmental Manager, Global Innovation & Sustainability and will support the company and its client strategies by managing and developing processes that foster improvement against key metrics. The person in this position will also provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to both internal and external clients.

HAVI Global Solutions goal is to maintain its leadership position in sustainability and packaging by managing its clients’ packaging portfolio while proactively addressing risks and aligning to deliver client objectives.

- Manage Sustainability program for North America with global oversight and coordination responsibilities
- Manage report compilation which support key metrics tracking (Packaging Quantification, Renewable Raw Material Survey)
- Lead maintenance of Sustainability tools and processes (Packaging Quantification, Design for Environment tools, Environmental Legislation management, ISO 14001 Compliant Packaging, Sustainability Management System)
- Provide Sustainability guidance to and collaborate with company functions
-Lead engagement with Suppliers in support of Sustainability programs, including product/portfolio goals, facility-focused Environmental Scorecard, material risk assessments
- Lead identification and assessment of aspects/impacts and development of goals to drive continuous improvement
- Lead research and recommendations related to “emerging issues†and substances of concern
- Lead management of product compliance with laws driven by Sustainability (FTC Green Claims, local laws requiring recyclable or compostable packaging)
- Represent Company in participation with external Sustainability working groups
- Liaise with Sustainability-focused NGOs
- Support company and client communication needs related to Sustainability
- Provide Sustainability insights to company and clients’ strategies
