Ensures team members, leadership and other stakeholders have the necessary information to understand and manage the business by: designing, developing, maintaining and issuing recurring monthly and ad hoc reports, dashboards, scorecards and other critical visualizations in various formats.
Provides up-to-date technical expertise (SQL Server 2008, MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), etc.) by: performing database management and administration including designing, developing, maintaining and executing queries, views, scripts, stored procedures, and reports as needed by the business; designing, developing and maintaining the team SharePoint site and content; and coordinating network administration and other technical matters with outside vendors and suppliers.
Reviews load (energy usage) forecast data for accuracy by making sure that there is a consistent data feed; comparing data variances to contractual obligations; checking that load forecast is reasonable based on historical observations and usage; and reviewing the weather data feed for consistency, timeliness, and errors.
Ensures that all facilities are accounted for in the load forecast by checking that all current, new, and decommissioned facilities are included; verifying that energy efficiency programs (for example, facility temperature changes, equipment retrofits) are noted; checking that all on-site energy projects (for example, solar panels) are captured in the forecast; and alerting load forecast provider of changes to facilities or programs.
Communicates identified inaccuracies in load (energy usage) forecast data by alerting service providers of errors; informing supervisor and energy buyers of errors in load forecast data; and documenting details of occurrence.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Retail Energy and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
