In this newly created role, you will report to the Design Lead and experience all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company while having a significant impact in energy efficiency, climate and sustainability.
Role Description
In this entry-level position, you will be willing to jump into any web or print project with a commitment to produce on-target, polished designs that are in line with creative direction. Projects will include point-of-purchase materials, brochures, advertisements, HTML newsletters, and minor edits to existing web sites. Day-to-day tasks may include web and print design production work, photo searching, text edits, file organization and general creative staff support.
Role Competencies
Our ideal candidate will have 0-2 years experience in graphic and web design, both in theory and in practice, and must be well organized, reliable, detail-oriented and a self motivated team player who has the ability to perform while managing multiple deliverables with simultaneous deadlines. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in design, graphic arts, or interactive media; however, professional experience may be substituted. You will be able to work independently but must thrive in and contribute to a collaborative environment, be able to think and communicate openly, have a strong work ethic, and be able to take constructive criticism in-stride.
You will be proficient on Macintosh and PC platforms, Adobe CS5 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office Suite. Candidate will also demonstrate (in portfolio) strong color theory, typography and design principals. Knowledge of sustainable marketing practices, Microsoft Sharepoint and Basecamp is a plus.
