CSG is seeking candidates with strong relationship building, customer service and technical skills to fill positions as Technical Field Representative to support contractors in the delivery of residential retrofit energy efficiency programs. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of the home contracting business, expertise in energy efficient residential construction and building science, and excellent interpersonal skills with homeowners, residential contractors, and home energy consultants. Applicants must be willing to travel daily in designated territories in the greater Madison, Fox Valley, or greater Milwaukee areas.

•Relationship Management
•Technical Support
â—¦Provide technical and program support to contractors and others on the practical application of energy efficiency measures and related building sciences and standards.
•Conduct QA/QC inspections
â—¦Inspect work listed on the work order/completion form to verify that the energy efficiency measures or equipment have been installed to program quality standards.
â—¦Perform diagnostic tests as needed and utilize energy modeling software.
â—¦Answer customer questions regarding contractor or energy advisor visits.
â—¦Document inspection findings with accurate, concise, and timely reports.
•Training
â—¦Provide classroom and/or hands-on field training to contractors and other program stakeholders in building science installation techniques and testing.
â—¦Drive program success by building partnerships with participating residential home improvement, HVAC and insulation contractors
â—¦Promote the benefits of the respective programs to residential contractors.
â—¦Support residential contractors in understanding program parameters and in selling and properly installing energy efficiency measures.

Requirements
•Experience in residential construction, HVAC, energy efficiency measures, and/or residential energy auditing.
•BPI Building Analyst, Home Inspector or Auditor, or similar certification is preferred. BPI Certification required within the first six months of employment.
•Experience with Blower Door, Duct Blaster and infrared diagnostic equipment and procedures a plus
•Computer proficiency. Experience with Windows based computers is critical, and familiarity with computerized building energy modeling software such as REM/Rate, Manual J, TREAT or other residential construction software is a strong plus.
•Work well individually or as part of a team
•Strong customer service and communication skills
•Must be organized and self -motivated
•Must have strong oral presentation skills including ability to communicate technical concepts to contractors, installers and homeowners.
•Demonstrated written communication skills (email, memos, reports, etc.)
•Must be able to carry 35 lbs, use ladders, and be able to work in crawl spaces or attics as needed
•Flexible schedule, some evenings and Saturdays may be required.
•Requires reliable transportation to and between customer sites

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

Compensation package includes paid holidays, 80% paid medical, 50% paid dental, paid life & AD&D and paid STD & LTD insurance coverage, plus employer matching retirement plan
