SRC is currently seeking a field test engineer located in Yuma, Ariz. SRC’s counter-IED system – the CREW Duke – was selected as a U.S. Army Top 10 Greatest Invention in 2009, and its predecessor – the Countermeasure Protection System – was a recipient of the same award in 2005. SRC is also currently developing multiple radar systems, including airborne and ground-based systems, for air and ground surveillance, and weapon system location applications. The successful candidate will work on electronic warfare (EW) or radar programs.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with engineers, from multiple disciplines, to test EW, wireless communications, and advanced radar technologies
- Significant interaction with other system integration and test engineers, systems engineers, and contractors to include the customer
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues
- Determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications
- Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutions
- Associate degree or equivalent and three or more years of professional experience with EW, wireless communications and radar
- Candidates should be highly proficient with the use of hand and power tools and electrical test equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc).
- Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills
- Must have good organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
- Experience with EW and radar systems preferred. These systems will be in the early development phase through pre-production
- Experience programming in C and Matlab is a plus, as well as familiarity with Unix/Linux
- Must be flexible and be able to work off-normal work hours, to include nights or weekends
- Must be self motivated, quick to learn new systems and have a strong work ethic
- Most of the testing will be conducted in the Yuma area; however, this position requires at least 25 percent travel across the U.S. leading/supporting a variety of test activities
