Administrative Assistant Opening for Sierra Club Green Home!
Are you green? Have a passion for the environment? Are you a champion with administrative procedures and practices? Would you like to be a part of the green world, helping to improve the planet with an affiliation to the largest, most established environmental non-profit in the country? Sierra Club Green Home (www.SCGH.com) is adding to its administrative support team and needs proactive, self starters to handle office assignments, research projects, and lead generation efforts.
Sierra Club Green Home was developed with a simple mission in mind: to help Americans make their homes more energy efficient, environmentally sustainable and healthy. We provide education and relevant news information to help people take steps towards greater environmental friendliness. We also point consumers to local area providers of green products and services. We seek to provide content on all facets of life: home, work, entertainment, indoor and outdoor interests, and more.
We seek candidates who:
• have a passion for the environment;
• are familiar with research techniques, phone procedures, basic office skills, and office equipment;
• comfortable calling potential “Green Home†customers and talking about energy audit options, windows/doors upgrades, as well as solar;
• have professional office experience or specialized training;
• understand green tech, business, and other complex information;
• can effectively communicate crucial company information to co-workers, administration, providers and leads;
• can reconcile bank statements, end-of-the-month commissions; and
• are detailed, thorough, and can follow through on all assignments.
Time commitment is semi-flexible, based on an hourly schedule. Please contact jennifer@scgh.com if interested. Include a brief description of yourself and experience in the environment, your geographic coverage, and why you feel you’d make a great addition to our team. Some sales experience preferred. QuickBooks proficiency preferred.
