Account Executive

Ecos’ primary business is to provide energy efficiency services to utilities with a focus on program development and implementation that treats energy efficiency as a production resource. As a member of the Strategy and Innovation Team, you will quarterback client service as a partner who understands and
responds effectively to our clients’ present and future needs through detailed client strategy and account planning. As you manage client expectations throughout the service delivery process, your stellar client relationships will shine not only with clients but with internal operations teams. You will know success by customer satisfaction ratings and your role in securing new business.

Our Strategy and Innovation Team has an immediate need for 2 new Account Executives—one residing in the Western and one in the Eastern region.

Role Description

In this role you will partner in a coordinated team approach with clients at the decision-maker level to ensure overall client satisfaction and the quality of service delivery. Your success will depend on your keen knowledge of complex energy management service delivery methods and client relationship management strategies.

You will be expected to provide account management with clients and partner with operations directors to ensure delivered services meet client expectations. This includes conducting account review sessions, recommending changes to energy and/or resource management measures based on energy and demand-response trends, contract renewals and coordination of new program kickoff, and development and maintenance of strategic account plans. Collaboration with Ecos’ Origination and Structuring team to respond to competitive client RFPs is a key factor in your success as well.

You will proactively identify at-risk clients and develop plans to avoid contract termination in partnership with operations teams. In addition, you will schedule, coordinate and lead executive business reviews and client satisfaction interviews with clients, conducting updates with delivery teams on a regular basis. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and contract scope deliverables fall within your scope of work as well.

You will be expected to articulate Ecos’ complete solution offering and demonstrate the ability to up-sell to existing clients.

Role Competencies

As the ideal candidate you posses a bachelor’s degree, demonstrated understanding of regulatory policy in energy. A minimum of 5 years of energy and/or resource management experience is a plus.

You bring an ability to provide strategic account management and have negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with clients. Business and financial acumen with the ability to see trends in data, origin of the data and ability to incorporate the data into meaningful reports and presentations are important attributes. You will also have demonstrated your ability to effectively work with and/or manage operational teams and complex projects in order to provide the necessary outcome to a client. To ensure client satisfaction you have administered client satisfaction interviews and executed on follow up processes.

This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
